Home Depot here says nothing ever. Neither does Lowes, but they give the stink eye. I've yet to even touch a mask.

Gotta walk in like yer the damn sherriff!

Only Guitar Center, another music store and my pharmacy have treated me like a diseased dog. Fuck em. Pseudo cool guys at Guitar Center will get no more $ from me. Son is 15 and is a little jimmy page. Have spent sphincter loads of money there. Now I send him in to see what he wants, then order from a different local guy. Fuck em all.

They just filed chapter 7 bk.

PippyPPoopypants 12 points ago +12 / -0

Who? Guitar center?

9
Cavetoad_1776 9 points ago +9 / -0

Yup

10
funwithguitars 10 points ago +10 / -0

That's great news! Maybe local music stores will pop back up and have a chance...I too spent tens of thousands there back in 2007

I buy from Zzounds. An LP, an SG - do that like $3500., assorted acoustics, etc. . GC went "woke," I buy elsewhere.

3
Leroyfooness313 3 points ago +3 / -0

Guitar Center files for bankruptcy every 5 years. Then they get bought out and continue to exist. Tale as old as time.

Holy shit dude, you bankrupted them all by yourself lol

1

Yes, they filed bankruptcy to reorganize debts a few weeks ago.

Wearing a mask while lugging around heavy ass plywood or whatever is just retarded to begin with.

20
Lembas_Bran 20 points ago +20 / -0

Truth. I work for Home Hardware (basically Lowe's but a little more small-town-ish) in Ontario; you won't catch me lugging stuff with a mask. They only want us to wear one while in the store, but I've been defying that whenever I have occasion to be in the store and haven't caught flak yet.

9
BarronsteinBears 9 points ago +9 / -0

Fellow Frostback here, was in Home Depot today (with a mask). I tried to show the helper guy a wiring diagram and he kept backing away and he wouldn't take it when I tried to pass it to him. This insanity is really wearing on me.

3
TAIWANNUMBERONE 3 points ago +3 / -0

Only time I'll wear a mask is when working in a dusty ass warehouse or storage unit or cutting grass. Being a bit out of breath is worth not having to deal with ragweed.

2
Rugar22 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah I definitely know that sucks.

My poor brother has asthma so it gets him pretty badly.

Home Depot, Lowe's, Safeway, no problem.

I went to Costco and not only was handed a face shield by the mask ambassador (I just put on my dirty old mask instead--hey, I needed Kirkland Irish Cream), and when it fell below my nose while checking out was told by a little punk to "please pull it up over your nose as it must cover your entire lower face."

The store was full of exposed noses. Our hospitals are at low capacity. Almost no one is dying. This is so stupid.

22
Dead_Sennacherib 22 points ago +22 / -0

Also masks don't work. Like at all.

You should have looked right at that little turd and said,"Go fuck yourself."

11

Should have! But I was so surprised by the overt micro-managing I was at a loss for words.

Just start coughing like you’re a lunger. They’ll run.

3
whippeat 3 points ago +3 / -0

That will actually get you arrested in many places now. Clown world for real

1
Rugar22 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nah, don't play those games man. Just take off the mask and give them the middle finger.

My costco had a few employees showing their brown-shirt aptitude by loudly reminding their customers to stay 6 feet apart. What a bunch of cunts

Same here, finishing big remodel. About 6 months with trips to HD and lowes and have had the best experience at HD walk in no mask and nobody gives me trouble, at lowes I got asked to put it on once but only one time. I can see some people get triggered but maybe me and my kid maskless with MAGA hats might be the cause.

5
socal_maga 5 points ago +5 / -0

I just wrapped mine up, now working on The backyard.

Even in Commiefornia, Home Depot feels like America.

12
Jhoust 12 points ago +12 / -0

Nobody at my Homedepot really care, I see a few other people not wearing masks as well.

11
Rugar22 11 points ago +12 / -1

I made more mask signs disappear! Tear them down! Only rip off the paper signs though. If it's a nicer sign, try moving it in a place where it can't be seen.

9
thebest2020 9 points ago +9 / -0

Just get some infowars.com stickers and plaster them over the sign as you walk in.

Or thedonald.win. whatever floats your boat

1
Rugar22 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you want to go that route, you need something to cover up the whole mask sign or at least the whole message.

2
Dem2MAGAConvert 2 points ago +2 / -0

Stupid question...is that a crime?

13
kebabdrogo 13 points ago +13 / -0

Common sense. Dont vandalize anything that doesnt belong to you.

1

3
Rugar22 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's why I said to tear down only paper. Yes, I guess it could still fall in the category but, why would someone go out of their way for a few pieces of paper that easily cost a couple pennies?

9
lifeisahologram 9 points ago +9 / -0

Speaking of signs, I find it hilarious Wawa now has added an even bigger sign almost as large as their entire door lol.

They initially had a large red warning sign with white text, it was VERY noticeable. Maybe at least 1x1 feet right at eye level on the door.

Now they have a MASSIVE yellow warning sign with black text that covers almost the entire door lol.

I am still not wearing a mask though.

5
silflay 5 points ago +5 / -0

I quit going to Wawa because of overzealous mask mandating. And for me that's saying something.

I'll never give any more money to businesses that are overzealous about this fucking bullshit. I wish I could say all businesses who mandate masks, but many I'm sure are simply trying not to get fined and shut down.

1
Rugar22 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've been in a few Wawas and all of the ones i've entered don't care if you don't wear one.

3
HockeyMom4Trump 3 points ago +3 / -0

What is Wawa?

2
lifeisahologram 2 points ago +2 / -0

It’s a “premium” gas station convenience store that sells food and drinks made to order. It’s only on the east coast I think.

2
HockeyMom4Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thanks! Definitely not in MN

1
trumpn 1 point ago +1 / -0

Convenience store/ gas station.

2
NobodyLikesSplatter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wawa by me has the same. They have gotten shut down so many times due to employees having “tested positive.” Makes me laugh. But I thought the masks worked? Lol sure they do. They got shut down yesterday over a boil water notice. Makes me smile every time. Normally I didn’t mind Wawa. Great subs but the one near me in Tampa has been sort of the pulse of what’s going on with masks and covid and such. I kek kek kek every time I see the “closed” sign.

7
ConfiscateTheCoats 7 points ago +7 / -0

Haha, there definitely are. I was talking to my new neighbor randomly the other night, and we started talking about the election and lockdowns and he was saying how his friend has been sending him stuff about it and said he was on “some site called.. Donald?” And I just freak out like “THEDONALD??” 😂😂 I was hype

Independent self employed pedes what’s up! General construction, restoration, property management here. MAGA

6
Orange_Man_Great 6 points ago +6 / -0

I live in deep blue California. I went to pick up a pizza right a few days after the election from a local joint that has insanely good food. I walk in to pick up my order and the owner looks a bit upset. I walk past and go grab my pie.

On the way out I barely hear the owner say, "Everyone wants everything for free." in a conversation. I turn around and from pretty far away I yell out, "Stolen election!" The whole place erupts saying stuff like, "YEAH! STOLEN ELECTION!" Random people joined in. This is in DEEP BLUE CA.

The Dems do not have the support they want you to believe they have, not even in the coastal cities of CA. Their support is an illusion derived from fake news, fake polls, and fraudulent elections. Their 1984-esque scam is over.

3
JacketlessJimJordan 3 points ago +3 / -0

The most alarming part of this story is “Employee comes up to help.”

My experiences at the Depot aren’t like that. I think they have an internal game called “See who can go the longest without having to deal with a customer.”

Unless it’s the old guy in Electrical who loves to share his knowledge.

11numbereleven11 3 points ago +3 / -0

Southwest airlines tried to put a mask on my 2 year old today. I was so pissed off and said this is so unnecessary and she said YOU AGREED WHEN YOU BOUGHT THE TICKET. This has to end and it's not going to unless more people push back.

5
HockeyMom4Trump 5 points ago +5 / -0

2 year old? Ugh. That is really young.

I have flown quite a bit through this pandemic and I have found the best strategy is to wear your mask, like you are really into it. Then once settled on the plane, remove to eat and drink. They really leave you alone if you are eating or drinking, so just nurse a water the flight. My son (older, but it could work for a two year old) had his mask off most of the flight because he snacked the whole time.

If you act like a mask is a problem they give you grief, but if you just blend in and then get past them they do tend to let you be.

It's illegal to bring your alcohol now. Lol

2
11numbereleven11 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thing is my two year old didn't want to wear it and I didn't want her to put it on either and they wouldn't let is walk into the plane without it. I don't want her growing up a sheep and thinking this is normal. She just turned two as well. If it were a week ago she wouldn't need a mask, but now that she's "of age" covid is taking notice.

2
HockeyMom4Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

I can’t believe they are forcing masks on toddlers. It is not healthy and I completely understand your point. What a bummer that this is going on right now.

2
Rugar22 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is why it will be awhile before I ever get back on an airline. Guess it's time for me to embrace road trips!

I'm going to burn mine once all this shit is done.

Home depot is cool with their mask policy... I am in MASS and you are told to wear a mask... I NEVER do and go to home depot every week

2
Supersonic-turtle 2 points ago +2 / -0

I walked into the vehicle registration office, passed two sheriffs and went through the metal detector without issue. I live in a very maga Texas city where I only “have to” wear a mask at my technical institute and idk who’s calling those shots and that’s probably the problem I should know who they are.

2
SteveHuffmansTeeth 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have not wore a mask at all. Never had anyone say anything to me other than getting kicked out of a particular paint store that rhymes with Menjamin Boore. And I was the sole customer. I frequent Lowes, Home Depot and Grocery stores on a near daily basis. WalMart once a month. Ive only ever recieved a few dirty looks but fuck em.

2
silflay 2 points ago +2 / -0

Must be nice because those don’t exist near me.

2
Samurai-Doom-Guy 2 points ago +2 / -0

I work at Home Depot here in Arizona. I always walk into work without a mask. The only time I actually have one is when I'm clocked in and most of the time I just wear it around my ear, only putting it around my face when my supervisor is near just so he doesn't get in trouble for me not wearing a mask when the camera footage is looked at. Aside from that, I never wear a mask when I go anywhere, not even when I go to church, and I've only been refused service one time when I went to circle K at 1:30 AM being the only one in the store. Makes sense though since the cashier was a younger feminist looking girl who also looked like she voted for biden. Since then I've decided to take my business to QT across the street.

2
Redclyde 2 points ago +2 / -0

So yesterday was in the gas station twice first time early in the morning getting smokes no mask on the old guy in front of me looks back sees me and takes his mask off fuck yea. Second gas station as in going in I hold the door open for the employee and he tells me If I need a mask there's some right there in front I tell him in good and he tells me I can't come in if I don't wear one so I just say okay fuck this shit then and leave. If people don't want your money don't give it to them this is america

So many of us? Please. It was a Home Depot.

Do the same thing in an Urban Outfitters or Whole Foods. If you have the same kind of interaction, then that'll be something.
