From what I understand, unlike any other state, they can actually secede if they choose to do so. Correct me if I'm wrong.
There is a mechanism of secession that was part of the agreement to join.
Any State can. Its just a death sentence if they do in 2020. No State has their own proper and robust independent economy to handle secession. Losing funding from the Federal government would tank any state. Its logistical suicide.
