I believe there need to be new laws in relation to social media that prevent censorship of any kind if the content is not illegal, or sexually explicit. There is no reason why these platforms should be curating speech. In fact, there need to be strict legal protections to protect people from politically motivated 'deplatforming' or 'canceling' of any kind. The people have a natural right to freedom of speech, freedom of opinion, and freedom of religion. That right should under no circumstance be infringed.
That cant really work in reality. That would mean bidenbros could come brigade here and there would be nothing we could do. Its really more complicated than just making a law that says no censorship because you have to let a website retain the right to curate a certain community but at the same time not let a few bad actors control the entire narrative.
The libertarian in me would agree with you. Im not really sure there is a principled argument against that. I think someone could make the national security argument but thats a very dangerous precedent.

But if it's your own site, you should be able to set whatever rules you like.
What does “your own site” even mean? Think about what you actually own.

Damn right
