This guy is risking his career to support our cause, OP is just asking that we give him a little support in return. I can't fucking stand the "it's rude to discuss politics," mantra. No it isn't. This entire country was founded upon people openly talking politics with each other, at parties, in public, in taverns, in the public forum/square. It's a MAJOR part of our country/republic, our origins, and everything that makes this country what it is. It's partly why we even have the 1A. It's not rude to talk politics, it's necessary. It's only rude if you're a dick about it
What we consider to be 'talking about politics' is no longer the dichotomy. Having basic freedoms isnt supposed to be debatable in this country but that is how far the overton window has shifted
