I think one of the biggest red pills for leftists on the fence is to point out the institutions that they embrace - Wall Street/Banks, Large Corporations, Pharma, Big Tech, Deep State, etc. Many haven't realized that they support the very institutions who they protested against during the Occupy Wall Street Days.
US media always consults with LEOs and intelligence agencies before pushing big stories. But the last decade saw the rise of intelligence agencies and LEOs pushing stories to fake news media.
It is one thing to ask if running a story will cause harm to an ongoing investigation. It is another entire ball game if a narrative is being pushed to fake news to trigger a fake investigation to happen aka witch hunt.
This betrays all the principles of our country and due process of being innocent until found guilty. They find you guilty now, trigger a fake investigation, and then pile on hoping you can not defend your innocence. Truly despicable.
