There's truth in that statement. Some liberals are just flat out dishonest. The vast majority of liberals and most normies are not intentionally meaning to be dishonest, they just are selfish, afraid, and intellectually lazy. Then once they've drunk the Kool-aid, it's difficult to not fall in line l, because doing otherwise crumbles so many things they've taken advantage of and exposes all the harm they've done. That's a hard psychological bridge to cross.

Most of the people I know involved in this movement weren't Republicans or democrats. I personally had no allegiance to any party. All corruption needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Most of us do, that's why we support Trump. And not just the libertarian "classical liberal." I mean the 'Free Speech is absolute'; 'Feed the poor'; 'corporations=evil' type of liberal. Especially if you notice how two of the previous points completely disappeared from the Left's talking points. How many of you would have called yourselves liberal a decade ago, but don't now even though NONE of your core values have changed?
The truth is, this isn't about liberal vs conservative, or Republican vs Democrat; it's about criminals vs patriots.
This is one thing I used to argue about on fb with my woke friends. They don't see how robotic they are and unquestioning of their leaders / party. It is scary. Dem politicians can do anything at all and their minions won't question it. 1k in property tax a month? No problem! Nancy Pelosi buying Amazon stock and making millions mid Jan before lockdowns? No problem! And the list goes on and on and on.
So we see corruption because the person broke the rules, was disloyal etc.
They see kindness because someone was trying to help those that were unfortunate. Even if those unfortunate people make up 50% of the murders in the country (hypothetically speaking). And the help that was given only lasts for a day and results in that person's next five generations being just as poor off. Because it feels good and compassionate.
Because the Democrats don't care about corruption they only care about power...especially power of you. Once you realize this, all the moves make sense.
They view corruption as a feature not a bug. It is a means to an end and thus perfectly acceptable to them so long as it is in pursuit of their common causes.
Because leftists have no morals, and no principles except expediency. They can, and will happily contradict themselves in the same breath if they think it advances Marxism RIGHT NOW.
To be fair, the RINOs and Faux Republicans are kind of See No Evil when an Establishment Republican is corrupt.
And the ANTIFA types, despite their manifest flaws and broken ideology, do see the Democrats and their party as the swamp they are.
Part of it is that the uniparty protects itself and the Establishment Republicans vs Democrats is in many ways, the illusion of choice. It's why the MSM can't give RMoney enough blowjobs, and in return RMoney is a nevertrumper.
There are a few i have seen that are and acknowledge it and I watch a few left leaning channels on occasion but mostly because they are willing to call out their own party. But the excuse these people end up making in end is that voting for the corrupt politicians is the better alternative then voting for the other side or when trump says something they would normally agree with they think he doesn't actually mean it.
The problem is we have corrupt politicians ones whisper sweet words in the voters ears but the second anyone is offered kickbacks they vote against the interest of the voters and this happens in both parties.
