Been talking with lawyer friends, including some with impressive experience. The fact that they CANNOT AGREE whether one state can sue another in the Supreme Court over election fraud is proof enough for me that we have a tremendous amount of work ahead of us.

if you have a friend who is a lawyer who doesn't think states can sue each other maybe ease them towards a more appropriate profession, for the rest of our sakes

It’s weird, they’re split 50/50. Smart guys on both sides.

  1. Election fraud is something that can you bring a lawsuit forth on

  2. States can sue other States

Therefore, States can sue other States over election fraud, especially regarding a Federal Election fraud.

Now, there would be an argument about/against it if it were an election only regarding the government of the State and/or localities confined to within the State - but this is an election concerning the Federation of these States, which means the election in one State affects the status of all States. That's clearly stated in the Texas motion.

States absolutely can sue other States

It's not whether you want it to happen.

It's whether the constitution allows it.

The constitution literally states that the only powers of the federal government are that which are expressly given to it by the states.

If the states have not expressly given the federal government the power to arbitrate interstate disagreements (election fraud or not), SCOTUS doesn't have the standing to hear the case.

Trump just brought in 3 strict constitutionalists to the bench.

The case needs to be lock tight constitutional argument based on somethign the states have expressly granted the federal government the power to oversee.

Otherwise, states are supposed to deal with it themselves. The federal executive branch is the only branch authorized to declare an insurrection by the states

The federal government doens't need any more power and absolutely should not be some peak of the pyramid like liberals want it to be.

State governments should have more power within their state than the federal government.
