I know it seems impossible for the free market to fix this, but it happens. Think of the dominance of AOL in 1999, or Blackberry in 2006, or MySpace in 2008. The dynamics of companies we thought were dominant frequently change. How about Apple? They were almost dead and bankrupt, and had a major comeback by bringing Jobs back on.
What about Microsoft? They went from like 99% of the market share for PCs and now they're around 75%. YouTube may seem too big to be taken down, but when companies do this kind of stuff or rest on their laurels and just rake in money from the cash cow they've built without innovating and simultaneously pissing off their users, that's the perfect scenario for a competitor to jump in and take market share.
