Youtube-dl is the most versatile tool i know of for saving online videos. There are versions with a gui to make using it easier as well.
There are a lot of magnet/torrent and other links in the comments there of important election night coverage that have now been deleted by google. Reading through it again tonight, I even found a few more that I overlooked when these were originally posted.
Everyone start saving videos. Especially videos of stuff happening on election night
