If they deny it, they will give us some sort of latin legal term 'in soluvus victus centari manictus bullshicus' that means something like 'the state does as the counterparts in absolution of the dictates' or some bullshit, and claim the constitution is still valid, but this theory is embedded in precedent. There are plenty of laws that completely defy the constitution. Thats how they work. A good lawyers job in real practice is to prevent Justice, not the opposite.

For anyone who thinks that SCOTUS, if ruling in favor of tossing out the votes in question, would be disenfranchising the voters who cast them, they are wrong. Those voters have already been disenfranchised by their state leadership who made bad decisions, and the only remedy SCOTUS could provide those voters, by allowing the votes to count, would end up disenfranchising voters whose leadership followed the rules.
I mean the union is already dissolving at this point. Leftist states just can't afford to leave because they can't support themselves alone.

That's what I was thinking. If the United States Constitution is invalidated in the Supreme Court, then the United States will then immediately cease to be. I'm not sure if I would then consider myself a lone citizen of the state I reside, or move to Texas and invest in guns & ammo.
