Consider that several of us have pretty clear terms for what constitutes tyranny, and once those lines are crossed or we have reliable evidence that they've been crossed, it's open season (the Constitution even gives you this right to justified violence). They'd have to confiscate your guns and not let anyone else find out about it, and do that to everyone! I dont think so. They'd start dying from "covid". Confiscations would quickly become public knowledge. They'd have to do it all at once, and I doubt they have the manpower to do that. Consider that they'd also be dealing with people who have 80% lowers that aren't registered, so if those guys simply hide their 80%s and hand over their shitty registered guns, then they're still armed and in the fight, except now they have the LEGAL blessing of the Constitution to kill their oppressors.
TL:DR; we'd have to bend over and take it like Canada for them to succeed in your scenario.
