I am thinking of getting into the trades mostly home renovation or carpentry, maybe even mechanics. I dont have any hard experience but am realizing more and more that this type of work is where my heart lies. Any tips for a future trade working pede on getting started?

I’m HVAC certified. Have been for almost 10 years first 2-3 years is shitty low pay but if you keep a positive attitude and willingness to learn there is good money and many uses for skills like those. I started in hotels plunging shit started painting then drywall then plumbing then electrical. Shit now I’m pretty much ver eses in all technical aspects kitchen equip everything. The key point I guess I’m getting at is take a shitty job and do everything to the best you can if you don’t know take pride in learning the right way and ask questions. School didn’t really teach me working with old timers some nice and some grumpy as hell they could all teach you something.
