Mizzou in particular has become a laughing stock. I feel for kids trying to get a real education there. They still have some great programs like medical school, veterinary medicine, and engineering but the liberal tyrants are completely in charge.
I grew up in STL, but moved away for a bit. Also, my parents aren't "in", so I never was growing up and I'm certainly not now. I understand what you mean completely. Was looking at Jeff Co for my next move, but they just voted in a mask "please wear one, but we're not enforcing it really" request, which makes me want to move even further. Why can't we have good urban/suburban areas (we as in nearly any state) without getting overrun by authoritarians?
City is really weird. Like the locals all have a definite conservative streak but are still kind of NPCs. I’ll take this city over Minnesota any day of the week though, plus I actually can find a pede or two here easily.
I used to live in Jeffco and worked for the county. Was recently talking to my ex co workers and a mask order was passed by the council there. Sheriff already said it’s unenforceable and said that back when the craziness began. But the fact that something like that passed at all in Jeffco is a bad sign... I know I’ll never work for a government again now.
I just shed a tear for my home state. St Louis doesn’t deserve the rest of that state
You’re doing good work
Yep, almost every college town is like that.

Ayyy you too? Columbia, KC, City, County or St Charles?
It's tough living in St. Louis, that's for sure. I feel like some kind of weird outsider
It’s a different city than most. It is weird

JeffCo is quickly trending more and more red. Within a decade it'll be solidly based.
Yes, JeffCo used to be “Dems are for the little guy.” Lots of old union types there but trending red.

Shit you got a room you can rent out? 😂
Invade the St Louis suburbs! Redpill many folks and turn it red!
I did my part there, now I’ve moved on with my wife. 3 months in Denver then a permanent move to Dallas, TX baybay!
Keep at it. My family is taking me away from there but it’s home and some family is still there
With you there, I like most St Louisans moved to Jefferson and Franklin county.

I’d be afraid when Lincoln county passes such an ordinance. Even St Charles hasn’t which is where I do all of my shopping now.
Yeah St Charles is pretty based still
