I know a lot of you already use adblockers and Brave browser, but what about your normie relatives, co-workers and neighbors?
Stick it to youtube, install and spread the word about a few apps and the money for creators goes away. The bigger channels will be ok because of brand/sponsor deals, but the smaller less than 1M sub 15k-20k view per video channels will feel the pain and seek out greener pastures. youtube will become what it wants to be, which is tv-lite. With the incentive gone most people will jump ship and look for the cool new thing. Think Myspace to fb, Digg to reddit, MTV to youtube, reddit to .win. If the people around you are not tech savvy then take their device and install it for them and show them how to use it.

The best and most ironic part about this is there are videos on how to install and use these apps on youtube itself.

How about the Win start a video streaming site that members could post videos?
If the mods asked we would definitely come together to chip in to make it happen. I know it costs buckets of cash to get something like that off the ground and growing. It would be worth it though to get from under these tech-fascists thumbs.

No force is needed in this scenario. I've said it before we need to shop with our feet. I don't complain about Nike, I just buy New Balance. I don't fuck with Netflix, I curate with cinema hd or tea tv. I don't cry about the NFL, I just don't watch it anymore. I don't fight with comcast and cnn, I just cut the cord. There is a time and place for brasso and ammo cans. This isn't one of them.
