To be fair, city planning in Boise is a fucking MESS. They weren't thinking ahead when they were zoning, especially in the downtown area. It needs to get unfucked, honestly.

North end is a fucking shit hole though, for sure. It's a wannabe SOHO, but just ends up being a bunch of faggots that hang out at the co-op. Like, they wanted to be like the historical district on Warm Springs, but just ended up being a slum.

I think there already is an affordable housing project in Boise. It's by the courthouse. I think those apartments are rent controlled.

Most people in the city have just kind of said 'fuck it' and have moved to Meridian/Eagle/Star though. They've kind of given up on Boise.

Well, if you're referring to the Pebble Mine permit being denied, that was complicated. There was concern runoff would contaminate the largest salmon fishery there. And salmon fishing is big business in AK; the fishing industry was the primary group lobbying against the mine. So it wasn't just an environmental concern, there were business interests at play too.

Don Jr. Tucker and others got it way wrong. There is enough Moly and Rhenium to supply our jets with turbine blades for twenty years in the ground there. I made a post yesterday but I’m assuming that they aren’t saying anything because they did some stuff just like the 4 states in the lawsuit. Alaska was sued and it went to the Alaska Supreme Court and the court ruled against the sate and said that absentee ballots didn’t need witness info or signature. Alaska also didn’t follow our own laws as they were supposed to start counting absentee ballots starting the day of the election (the 3rd) at 8 pm. Lora Reinbold from ER, cause she seems to be based af and eyeing the Governor primaries. (ADN hates her, so that’s a plus in her favor)
