WHAT’S A CONVENTION OF STATES ANYWAY? Article V of the U.S. Constitution gives states the power to call a Convention of States to propose amendments. It takes 34 states to call the convention and 38 to ratify any amendments that are proposed. Our convention would only allow the states to discuss amendments that, “limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on federal officials.”

What makes you think the politicians would respect new amendments any more than they do the existing ones?
the goal would be to limit the Federal Governments powers. Since someone has ruled by executive orders from 2008 to 2016, the people have to take control. Unless there are other ways We The People can take control.
I'm not saying it is the worst idea ever considered...
But it damn sure makes the top ten list.
It is another way for the people to get control of an out of control Federal Government.

what other ideas are out there that can limit the Federal Governments spending ?(think Black Budgets, you know the thing General Flynn was Fired For for investigating by Obama and the same thing he was unlawfully interviewed by Comey and McCabe, and that interview that Strok/Page allegedly forged and that Federal court in DC that wrongfully convicted Flynn and took his life savings) you know like that one.
A Convention of States can do anything. Do you really want China re-writing our Constitution?
