It shocks me each time I hear that cursive is no longer taught. I skipped 2nd grade, and the only thing on the curriculum that I missed and needed to catch up on was writing cursive; there was that much unnecessary content in that year's curriculum, and yet it's cursive that was axed. I don't want to think of a future where reading our founding documents would do people's head in the way that some 17th century handwriting does my head in.
And those stupid founding fathers wrote in calligraphy. Way too hard to read!
