Why is this constantly reposted. It has nothing to do with vote counting.

It has to do with an election for federal office. Louisiana wanted to do it’s “jungle primary” before Election Day. However, since someone could win an outright majority and win the race, SCOTUS ruled that it could not happen on a date prior to Election Day. Which is why they now have run-offs later.

This is what was held:

Louisiana's statute conflicts with federal law to the extent that it is applied to select a congressional candidate in October.

Absolutely nothing to do with vote counting.
