What has been done to him used to be considered inconceivable and criminal in polite society. Hell, in the gutter it was considered bad form. And the fact that he is still alive and fighting is a fucking miracle.
We don't deserve someone who has fought this hard for us. We haven't fought this hard for ourselves.
