It seems to me that we should be able to legislated standards for voting software. The FAA has standards for air worthiness when rebuilding parts and they inspect repair stations, as well as parts, manufacturers on a regular basis to that standard. Why couldn't a standard of voting machines / software be established and all source becomes inspectable, ideally by the general public. It is for ranked choice: Your 1st choice is given 1 vote, 2nd choice is given 0.5 votes, 3rd is given 0.25, etc, as an example.
