Living around and interacting with them in DC (people would fly there from other liberal cities for work/conferences) through work or leisure I came to some conclusions:
Their families did indeed mistreat/abuse non-white people for profit
They consciously or unconsciously made it a point to spread the blame to all white people to hide what they did.
The most vehemently 'anti-racist' rich white people come from these families

More than 50% came from Jewish families.
It's like the slave ships, all over again.
Funny how an extremely insular group of people keep causing these problems throughout history and crying out in pain as they strike you.
