... And they realize the new generation is a bunch of spoiled rich kids without the same intelligent ambition of generations past.
That, plus the growing knowledge of their previously secret plans, and the rise of Populism around the world, and they're scared their long laid plans are not going to bare fruit in time.

It's only a handful of people. If you've got key people in key positions then you could take over the entire Country with only 2% or less of the population. If people find out how few there are and how much smoke they blow to make it appear like they are the Majority then they'll get overrun by us all.
