If they go through with closing out markets before the electoral college votes are reviewed and approved Jan 6th that would be terrible. We need to turn the heat on them, I emailed them this to their support:
Hello,
I recently received an email from you about beginning the settling of markets for certain states beginning December 14th when the electoral college votes.
I’d like to kindly ask you reconsider this. The electoral college votes on Dec 14th, however, those votes are not reviewed and confirmed until congress gets back on January 6th. Anything can happen with litigation in play between December 14th and January 6th - for example if fraud is proven those votes would need to be re-certified and re-confirmed.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to users of this platform. It is my hope that PredictIt settles markets when all litigation is settled and users have full confidence that their candidate won fair and square.
Thanks for the update. I've got about $45,000 committed spread out over two accounts.
Should average at least a 5 to 1 pay out if everything goes right.
I have $ in as well. I interpreted their email as “even with litigation going on we will begin closing markets once electors vote on December 14”. Honestly kind of scared

Shit man I hope most of that wasn’t in the state markets because PI just cucked out almost all of them. General is still open and WI though.
Well this is going to get ugly
Very much so. Bad move from PI.
