I respect Rush and agree with him most times. I also wish him a miraculous recovery but I do not believe Rush had much to do with Trumps success. I actually recall times where Rush was really trying to sway people away from Trump during the Republican primaries. Obviously he is entitled to his opinion and even welcome to change his tune after Trump was the selected as the Republican candidate (which he did) but I will always remember. God bless Rush though. I say it every day.
You're right. Rush played the middle of the road before the primaries, always has. Nothing against him, been a listener from his very early days.
you both might be right about Rush not really backing trump in the beginning. But the reason i say this is Rush created the base which was the voice of conservatism LEADING to DJT having a platform to stand on. Rush built the base which took decades to do

No one source was solely responsible, but i’d say millions of American voters would be the main reason. Not hating or anything but r/The_Donald and 4chan sharing memes were probably more responsible for his victory than Rush.
