What am I not accurate about? Sure, there are very good intelligence groups outside of CIA, NSA, FBI, that are under the military. From my understanding CIA has better assets and capabilities for covert intelligence gathering in unfriendly countries, with the ability to use spy methods that are not legal under the military. While CIA needs military for direct action raids, and sometimes for protection, they also have their own agents which are ex-Delta/special forces types. And military, while they have their own intelligence capabilities typically need CIA intel for operations in unfriendly country. Not sure if breaking ties between the CIA and the military is a good idea. The better solution is to force out the rogue actors in the CIA, or arrest them.. IMO.
