Ha! Native & lifelong 50 yr Austinite and UT alum here. Eyes of Texas also appropriate - and screw all those marxist homos who claim to be butt hurt by the loose reference to "the eyes of the South" as quoted by General Lee to his troops.

Just a small example of the left's cancer infecting all culture to find "victims" of racism, "fill-in-the-blank", etc. everywhere.

100%. Great dude and one of the most quotable football coaches of all time. My best friend growing up was a QB at UT behind Pete Gardere. My friend's dad was an all-American running back under Royal and came in 3rd in the Heisman his sr year. I grew up with all that lore and got to meet Royal several times via my friend. His dad and Royal died a few years apart and their wives (my friend's mother) live together in a nursing home in Barton Springs area of Westlake (where we grew up together)...

You are a very lucky pede indeed! My only sighting was the 1973 Cotton Bowl where I witnessed Bear Bryant's Tide get rolled by the Longhorns. I was so excited at one point in the game I leaped to my feet and got dizzy. (Nosebleed seats.) Those tickets were decided by a lottery at the time--you sent in your money and hoped. Got to watch Bryant and Royal and their teams from high above.

A fine hello to the ladies in Barton Springs from a fan.

Duuuuude - that is awesome! I was at '92 Cotton Bowl where we got destroyed by Miami. I had 50 yrd line seats for that abortion (a college buddy's parents lived next door to the Cotton Bowl President, lol). It was cold and miserable and I got to see my best friend mauled by Russel Maryland.

My only other "away" game I attended since then was the Rose Bowl Natty game. That more than made up for the Cotton Bowl debacle. Biggest swing in mojo I have ever experienced. I will say this: it taught me to never doubt a real "winner". VY was unstoppable and was not going to be denied... I feel that way about Trump. I will never doubt him until he actually loses. Fully expect to see him sworn-in again next month.
