If you allow for this site's userbase to be citing second-hand knowledge of a death (aka Knowing A Guy Who's Cousin Died, which they almost certainly do) then the math could theoretically check out. Many people can "know" the same death.

Of course we know nothing about the sample of this poll, so who knows.

Exactly. I know OF someone who died to covid. I didn't know him personally, but friend of friends... etc.
