Yes. Legalize all firearms for civilian use. Good luck to any invading armies when the first thing they see once they're out of the big cities on the coasts is towns full of houses with machine guns mounted on the roof. Great for culling gangsters as well, the deadlier the weapons, the quicker they'll all kill each other off! And think of the economy when avid hunters and shooters can walk into their local store and pull a minigun off the shelf. No conceivable downside!
