Good luck getting a real one and not a glorified blowtorch though.

I have 2 of these. They will be great for crowd control when the time comes!

Torch up!

I'd buy that for a dollar!

I'd take that.

Of course; but the answer is simple, drive to the nearest legal state, and buy one. Then when you have to use it- just claim you identify as a Democrat and voted for Biden, and they will let you off of charges!!

Joe Rogan was given one by Elon Musk. It might just be company policy. I'm also in CA and would very much like to add a toasty gun to the arsenal.

Ok, found this. "In the state of California it is illegal to purchase a flamethrower, but not illegal to own one."

So, just like most my bike mods, I'll be "buying it in ID"

Interesting, I may have tom pull the trigger on that. One of those South African car flamethrower add ons might be the move I make.

Hey Ho! I just looked at the Ad. Dandy anti Antfia device. How about the illegal alien who breaks into your house at 'oh dark thirty'? Shotgun, NAH! flame thrower, that will burn his taco. It might be a bit hard on the furniture, tho!

The ones that actually spray liquid instead of aerosol can also be repurposed as incredibly powerful pressure hoses. I've heard of people using surplus M2s with custom choke nozzles to blow holes in stumps. I'd imagine they also used custom tanks because the default only had a run time of 7 seconds.

The handheld railgun isn't held back by it's own technology, but by logistics. They'd be too dangerous to transport by plane because the magnets mess with aerial navigation systems, hence why the Navy is where you see them the most, and the fact that their obvious advantage is very linear and kind of at odds with the ongoing reduced focus on infantry. However, they would have the advantage of allowing a soldier to effectively carry possibly 10 times or more the same amount of ammo considering that they can do way more with way less. Think .22 sized cartridges punching as hard as .308 or more, but whether that makes up for the increased weight and need to have yet another specific caliber is up for debate.

I see anti-tank railguns as much more likely. Possible even mortars.

I bet a rail mortar would make a cool sound.

Electronic activated primers are a real thing. If someone could get that to work with a small railgun-like weapon you could theoretically fire standard caliber bullets capable of penetrating tank armor. Kinetic weaponry will always be more practical, as least as far as direct fire is concerned. Energy would be more area denial than anything.

I'd absolutely buy one

Make it cybertruck themed with optional Tesla autopilot auto-aim, call it "autopwn/autofrag/AI-Frag"

They should manufacture it in 300BLK as well and manufacture subsonic tracer rounds too for that laser blaster vibe
