I'm okay with splitting the union..... by county not by state.
No, Dems already tried secession. We Republicans said no. We won. Union stays together. And we freed the(ir) slaves. Also, America doesn't negotiate with terrorists.

I feel like the people so vehemently against secession haven’t given any thought to how it would play out besides a very basic idea of red states vs. blue states. Real life isn’t reflected in an electoral map. There would never be a clean separation of red and blue with the state territories as they are now.
Turn the blue cities into city states still part of the union. Basically create more states instead of split the union. At a certain point with population growth you cannot effectively govern that many people and represent them. It needs to be segmented down more to more manageable levels.
If you do this, you are basically creating Chaz's nationwide.
With all due respect, fuck that. The blue cities need to come to their senses and if that means siege operations and blood in the streets, so be it.
