I made that username back on reddit as slight joke being an American living in Canada. 2020 made it a little too real.
We need you back in the states!!
You are not isolated. There are a lot of Canadians who love your President and your country! Its the media, they want you feel that way.

It means you can contribute (evidence?) to the case directly instead of just saying “I agree with Texas”. At least from my limited understanding.
Amicus is a measure of support. Intervening you become an additional plaintiff, a more definitive step, of course..
