For the first time ever, in 50+ years, how humiliating for me to be from Maine. I love where we live, but the Maine AG joined the defendants! I sent him a reaming-ass email tonight reminding him of his Constitutional oath he took on gaining office. The same one I took to be a freakin' ALTERNATE on my small town's planning board. Pop 1300. Apparently I took my oath more seriously than he did, I told him. I told him that to NOT join Texas was to disenfranchise the voters of our sister states, PA, MI, GA, WI, etc. You know the law, I said, but even I, a moderately intelligent average taxpayer knows those state's supreme courts cannot regulate their elections so it goes against the US Constitution. Do you think we're stupid, I asked him, when all the info any voter with two brain cells to rub together needs is on the internet at the tips of our fingers? He's a lefty Dem, no surprise. I also sent my email to a family friend who's a Maine state rep, Republican, a fighter. Just in case. And to my friend since 3rd grade, a former deputy Sec of State. A Dem, but he knows me well. And my older brothers. And, that they don't mess around if little sis is in trouble.
