That's the thing. They can do the right thing or not.
If they do the right thing. yeah, half the country is pissed off.
If they don't do the right thing.. then we don't have a country and the half that would of been pissed off doesn't matter anymore, since we don't have a country to begin with.
It's a very good point.
When you have the country divided so starkly, that's when SCOTUS has to step in.
Most of them probably realize, that however they decide, half the country is going to be pissed off.
Maybe that will inspire them to do the right thing.
