The court's 5-3 ruling means that absentee ballots will be counted only if they are in the hands of municipal clerks by the time polls close on Nov. 3.
The justices determined the courts shouldn't be the ones to decide the election rules amid the coronavirus pandemic that is surging in Wisconsin and across the world.
"The Constitution provides that state legislatures — not federal judges, not state judges, not state governors, not other state officials — bear primary responsibility for setting election rules," Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in a concurring opinion.

Me oh my, rest assured if there is a “thick of it” with regards to liberal academic indoctrination, its now.
Exhibit A: I had a law professor who went on a rant about an example in the textbook that slighted communism. She claimed the book was showing its age because of the subtle disdain towards communism. “Today we know theres nothing wrong with communism.”
Exhibit B: My finance professor asked if anyone in the class was voting for Trump (back in 2016). I raised my hand. Not a single soul outside of me though. He proceeded to tell me, “i dont know anybody thats voting for Trump, then again everyone i know has a brain.” Let me tell you, its the bees knees being called retarded in front of a room full of peers. I think i got the last laugh though when Trump won (by a landslide) and i got a 97% in his class. Imagine my shock when i, a brainless Trump supporter, got an email a few days after the final asking me to join the honors finance program.
I was referring to the thick of my own academic experience, which was years ago. It’s incredible how condescending the other side is; glad you powered through anyway!
