If they have this server, it was probably a low-energy event. Serve some paper, walk out with a VM snapshot. The IP address is even in the name; it was an ephemeral compute node; or at least the public gateway was.

We may never know for certain, but I'm very cold on a CIA v SpecOps shootout at a server farm. Getting a copy of the machine could have happened by email to&from the right people.

Yeah the deaths would make absolutely no sense. If it's an amazon server, it's most likely in a larger data center run by then offering cloud services. I've worked with IT for dozens of years and I have yet to hear of a retailer owned data center with enough armed security to take out 5 trained operatives.
