Did you ever edit posts? I always thought that posts were kind of a one-shot deal - no editing, to protect from bad guys “posting one thing to get an upvote, then changing it later.“
You may be out of luck.
You just have to edit your top comment to insert a big notice that it was a typo, lol.
Henceforth you'll be known as “that 28 legislatures Pede” 😂
Nah, I hate that - getting the link figured out, editing this or that, especially on mobile, trying hard to get it right and fast, then Siri does something like replacing “‘scuse me while I kiss the sky” with “scuse me while I kiss this guy.” 🙄
Of course neither of my local reps signed on to it.
The first four listed (Ligon, Beach, Jones, Dolezal) are the same ones who started the petition in the state congress to try to call an emergency session, so I'm glad to see they're continuing their efforts.
Have you called? Can you give a good rationale argument for why they should sign on? Can you give a good remedy for the suit? I personally would like to see illegal elections invalidated and a new, legal election held.
Good! The Georgia legislature was the primary injured party along with the other defendant state legislatures. As such their pleading could be viewed more sympathetically by the court. In my opinion.
I'm confused, if this is Georgia then why does it list being filed in Virginia? I'm not seeing a list of which Georgia legislators are participating, what am I missing?
My guess is because the Governors and SOS’s are being sued...and the legislators from those states are pissed. Because they are the ones who actually have the power to certify and send electors.
Who knows. I’ve never researched and read so many legal briefs and filings in my life.
Legislatures are made up of legislators.
Yes, yes! I made a typo! After the last update, my ability to edit a post doesn’t work anymore for some reason.
Possibly related: I was having trouble getting my comment edits to stick, and entering text in the “reason for edit“ did the trick.
I’ve been here since day two, and only experienced that glitch in the last week or two.
I can edit comments, but when I hit the edit button on the post, it does nothing. Not sure why.

Oh, the shame!
j/k we’ve all had to do it😄
Makes sense why you shouldn’t edit, but I swear I’ve done it in the past. And one of the stickies from yesterday has multiple edits/updates.
Yep...PA now has 28 LEGISLATURES! Because I was so excited to share! Ha!
My experience has been that, with text posts, you can edit the text (which I've done, and seen other people do), but you can't edit the heading.
Since you only have a heading, with no other text, it may not give you the "edit" option (though, in my opinion, it should).
But even if you had the "edit" option, you still couldn't change the heading. I found that out the hard way. :-)
The mods can do it, I don’t think we can.

Good job👌
Edit: Oh shit, you’re stickied!
Ha! I’m okay with that. I still can’t even get my phone to realize that I do not use the words duck or ducking in my angry texts.
Yep! Second sticky of the day. I’ve been glued to the SCOTUS docket since I woke up.
Jeb Bush as Denethor..."Abandon your posts! Flee for your lives!!"
Ted Cruz: "Knocks Jeb unconscious with a massive stick"
"Prepare for battle!"
Thus passes Jeb! son of George Bush, steward of the Rebulican Party.
Just checking. Is this the same as PA joining the suit against itself?
Yep. Their amicus details the fraud and irregularities in their state. Just amicus, not becoming a plaintiff, but still good!
Thanks. While I am here, was PA filings also an Amicus brief?
Yes. Many PA legislatures and at least one citizen filed amicus.
OH HELL YES

Why does Georgia have so many legislatures?
Yes, yes...typo. I’ve been posting from my damn phone. For some reason after the last update to this site, I can’t edit original posts any longer.

I haven’t read it all...wondering if they mention their calls for signature audit and special session.
THERE'S THEM DUKE BOYS AGAIN!
I love LOTR but no, please no. This meme was about 40% of the reason I left reddit: https://youtu.be/yNtySt6Fg30

Their attorney is from Virginia. The list of legislators is in the body or an appendix.
How the fuck does any of this work? Defendants supporting plaintiffs?

Yeah they're basically telling their own Gov, AG, and SoS to go to hell since they wouldn't listen to them earlier.
Wait 26!? I thought it was only one guy?! This is great news!
Just looked up and the state senate is 56 so this is half
