G'day from Texas, Australian!

Frens can be separated by land and water, but freedom keeps us close <3

My family moved from Tennessee to Texas with Stephen F. Austin, the Tannehill clan. I'm 7th generation.

Most of the Alamo defenders weren't born in Texas. They came from New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, Massachusetts, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana. A substantial amount of volunteers came from Tennessee and the Carolinas.

To the foreign pedes on here: Some volunteers came from England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, and Denmark to fight for Texas independence.

These men fought for Texas. They died as Texans. Texas wouldn't exist if not for these men.

As a Texan whose ancestors arrived with the "Old Three Hundred", you are all honorary Texans. Every single one of you patriots.

My family wasn't officially in the 300 but came from Tennessee with them at the same time. My family founded the village of Montopolis in competition to Waterloo (Austin) as a river crossing. We obviously lost but the street in SE Austin is named after it.

Pennsylvania and Georgia

Texas: Sometimes a true friend knows when he needs to whip his friends’ ass to beat some sense back into them

England, Scotland, Ireland

They actually agreed on something together… Texas truly is a magical place…

Texas is really a state of mind and from the very beginning all that had it were welcome. My family "Gone to Texas" in the early 1800s.

Fuck off with your piss poor attitude. These are stressful times, how dare I try to inject a tiny amount of levity into things...
