If it looks like there's going to be a contingency election & the Hunter Biden story keeps dripping out into the Mainstream, wouldn't it make sense to save face by dropping out? You could claim you're the better man because you didn't believe power was worth tearing the country apart, Democrats get to live in a fantasy that they 'really won,' & secretly you can make deals so people stop digging into the inconvenient niches.
