They don’t care about not being able to outright kill innocent people and their political enemies. They can accomplish that through other means, such as bribing inmates to kill them.

Unpopular opinion but I am against the death penalty, unless that person is going to kill you or someone else and you can’t stop them. No death penalty, no abortion. It’s hypocritical to support one but be against the other.

No it's not hypocritical. One is a life as innocent as can be with all the potential to be a great person, or a bad person, depending on their actions. Humans have free will. We decide what we want to do. A person found guilty of atrocious crimes made their choices. They are responsible for their actions, which means, since they took one or several lives or committed other atrocities, they will pay the price.
