The Hillary cover was mistakenly made because they were confidently predicting a Hillary win. Reality simply turned out differently than their predictions.
The Biden-Harris cover is not a mistake (although it will also prove to be premature and wrong). That cover is a subversive attempt to legitimize the victory claim of the Democrats.
The point is they are both the media jumping the gun.
Oh and a little fun fact about the Newsweek one.....the Hillary one was the one they put on shelves first. Once they realized Hillary lost, they had retailers pull them and send them back. The Trump version was their fallback version. Over 125K copies were recalled, and that's just the ones they sent out to stock shelves. 125K isn't just a small number. Newsweek actually only sells about 40K copies a week. That's basically triple their full customer base and then some. Basically, they printed more copies of the Hillary version than they were ever going to sell in the first place. So this wasn't just some little snafu, they went more than all in on the Hillary version. In contrast, FAR less Trump copies were printed initially. Then once they realized Trump won, they started cranking them out in mass production.
They are not at all the same!
