Pfft - I'm near a training base. I hear F35s constantly. It beats the hell out of the F16s which would rattle all the paintings and photos on the walls. The entire city is ringed by the most airfields in any state, with the largest airwing contingent in America (and the world, if you consider the mothball centers which can re-activate all of the aircraft stationed there).
You don't want to mess with TX - but AZ controls the skies for the entire SW.
As God is my witness - last week there were loud & low copters way more intense than the usual Medical or News copters we sometimes get.
I live right by the turnpike where a gas line exploded recently - two months ago IIRC. Area evacuated. It was nuts. These helicopters lately are WAY more intense.
Not sure hearing helicopters is an indication of much other than the mere existence of helicopters (private, agricultural, military). What am I missing?
Yeah it started 2 weeks before the election for me. And it has only increased by “a lot” ever since the 3rd of November. Something is going on for sure I’ve never seen/heard anything like this before. Sounds like more than one type of coppter. I’d really like to know why.
I get anxiety attacks whenever I hear helicopters or lawn mowers. And wood chippers.
Dude keeps the wifes bull on a tight leash at least, usually those roles would be reversed.
A Chinook went over my house yesterday. Major freedom boner upon hearing the whomp whomp whomp.
Yes. Rural area. Wierd.
Its for the Vaccines. He said when they are ready he would us the Millatery And it would be unlike nothing you have ever seen. Just sayn.
Is that the lead vaccine for combating the evil virus?
I thought that too. However the past two weeks not only increased number but altogether different maneuvers and duration. Hmmmm don’t know. 🤔
I’ve even had a fighter jet flyover here on the East Coast. I’m used to military planes, I live near a base but the fighter jet was a treat.
I have not, and I am VERY VERY disappointed, what with being on the flight path between DC and Gitmo. . .
Can confirm, in VA! 🚁🚁

Yes, but I'm talking about aircraft stationed. We have a shit-ton.
I’ve been hearing non stop air traffic since March. All day and night, never was like that before March.
In my dreams.
I heard and saw a large helicopter this morning but i assume it was getting B-roll for morning news flying over I-90.
news choppers are seldom large. usually EC145s or Bell 206 variants.
It was very low, may not have been as large as it seemed.
ahh yea that can be confusing esp if you don't know what you're looking at
Oddly ive been hearing them over philly nonstop for days, now that you mention it.
Yes. My place got buzzed at tree top level night before last at 3 am. It shook the whole place. That has never happened before.
