My dad is a soy lib attached at the emotional hip to my mother. Raised us well but he was never a take charge father that my older brother and I turned out to be within our own middle aged marriages. I always respected him for making us good men dispite growing up pretty poor. We were pay less boys. But we always had shoes.

Because of this I went into the army and deal with things of this nature as expected. No remorse get over it kind of attitude.

It's nothing hun

I'm sure you are fine

My wife has found a lump in her brest and because I can't actually fix it(career repairman) this is very difficult for me.

Any advice?

All of this.

More specifically, Rick Simpson Oil. Not just smoking weed. Get her mmj card if possible and find a dispensary that will cut you a deal on RSO. Phoenixtears.ca will give you more information on dosing.

You can also Google Granny Storm Crow and her website. It has almost every illness and how to effectively treat it with cannabis. Reach out to me with any questions. Would be happy to help. Bless her and you.

Fuck doctors 4 sure. But we've gotten a ton of technology from the military brother we don't build the shit or sign the mic contracts. We just use it to blow up commies.

The first mammogram I had at age 50 came back as indicating anomaly. I had to go again and have a biopsy and it was a cyst. Most of the time limps found are benign, or cysts. Unless she has a family history of breast cancer it shouldn't be a problem. BUT what you can say to her is that is better that she has found it, it is being investigated and all the worry and anxiety in the world will not change the outcome. It's natural to worry some and it's also natural to not worry until you have a definite answer. The best thing to offer a woman in this situation isn't words - but a big cuddle from her man. That's all I wanted =)

Did your cyst have pain? She says it's painful. I don't remember any of that from any of my friends with cancer. She says its like a bruise.

This is for the doctors. But most lumps are benign. Not cancer. But it should be attended to. The doc doesn't do your job, so same thing, your wife needs a professional.

It's scary, that's understandable, but just get it looked at right away.

Hoping you feel better soon, and it's nothing.

Yeah she's getting it checked out I just basically keep blowing it off cause I don't want to worry her till we don't know. But she has a anxiety issues. So dwells on it.

This would scare anybody. Steer a middle course. Don't be perceived as cold. You obviously aren't. Back massages may help her.

Yeah she fights weight gain like most women but has never gotten over 180. She used to tan and gym and nails and all of the stuffs ((when we met)I was the punk rocker that got the cheer leader) now we have kids. Lol. Her diet I think is good for now if she can stick with it. Very hard cause I'm the 6'3" thin guy that never gains and I want to eat horrible all the time. So we have it out when it comes to dinner decisions lol. Plus exercise has always been there for me since the army easy to get up at 4 and run. She can't with the kids bugging us till midnight sometimes.

pray. a lot. God is the answer to everything, physical and emotional. but we have to seek and lean in to Him for those answers, He’s not a communist that forces Himself on people if He’s unwanted.

I'm have never been religious. In fact mostly the opposite but this year has been insane and my outrageous basically atheism has turned in to agnostic-ism. If that's a thing. I love my wife of 16 years I just don't know what to do here. The kids are 6 4 and 2 and I think that is distracting enough to keep us sane.

See if you can line up some help with domestic things and the kids. Ask the doctors and nurses about what is available. Even a little can be of use.

God is good enough to honor an “I don’t know if you’re real but if you are please show up” type of prayer. if it’s sincere anyway, He’ll work out the details with you later.

Whatever treatment you choose, just be there for her.

Comfort her. My wife had cancer. We were both caught off guard. I’m a “fix it” kinda person too. My tendency is to be optimistic and treat it as if it’s no big deal. This is the problem, this is what we are going to do to fix it.

I went with her to most every appointment, we even did the dry ice hair thing. It’s a pain in the ass. Also didn’t work but it’s what she wanted to do so I was all in. I took over all household duties etc. The one thing that came out later (in a marriage counseling class) was that she never felt comforted. No matter all the things I did she seemed mad at me. I was working my ass off and if she acted mad, I would get mad. It was a stressful time. You are in my prayers.

Comfort her. Listen to her fears. Cry with her. Don’t counter with “...it will all be okay”, nope just listen and repeat back anything she says so she knows your listening.

Focus on the positive. Most lumps are benign. Lots of extra attention for the wife. You have your support team here. Let us know how it comes out

Yes it does. Probably lucky to get in that fast with holidays and covid bs. My heart and prayers are with you and you family. One more reason to celebrate Christmas this year big time!

B1ueCo11ar [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah we will with family an such hope the stuff I can afford for my little ones is enough. Video games were cheaper in the late 80s.lol. I come on TD for inspiration from the dooming stuff everywhere else. Everyone here has been so awesome. To the point that my wife when I get home from work. "so... Anything new happen today with the election." She is still hopeful. As am I obviously. It's just nice to have some personal inspiration every now and then. A man can feel alone with his thoughts making huge decisions for his family, and constantly wondering if they're the right ones. Particularly when a family member is I'll.

Christmas is love and family. In today's world it is too commercialized. If you do not have holiday traditions start now. That's what makes the memories. My grandbabies look forward to making holiday treats as much as they do eating them. It's the little things that matter. Teach the holiday spirit is giving, not receiving. Your babies are little. Multiple inexpensive gifts should make them happy. (Home made gifts are great)

First of all praying for your wife and your family, your doctors and quick results. I havent been through it myself but somewhat resigned to the fact that yes, someday my boobs will try to kill me. Theyve been nothin but trouble anyway..lol. I have known plenty of women who have gone through it, and all ok. It's a rough road but there is a path.

This is not a death sentence. There are lots of options these days. Thank god for medical science. And hey, might get new boobs for her trouble! I know it's easier said than done but honestly, like this covid mess(the contact tracing and rumor spreading of omg you know who had it, ya might need to freak out so let's freak out just in case theres something to freak out about), dont worry until there is something to worry about. Worry and stress are just as bad for your health..Big woop. Gotta get something looked at. Go look at it. Then deal with it. I suggest you be as light and funny as possible. Find stupid movies to giggle at. Be confident and positive. Wait to hear, make a plan and get it done.

Thank you. She's a strong woman sometimes stronger than I ever thought I could be.

sydneypede 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don’t worry yet and have faith. Very well could be nothing, but if it is malignant there are many options for breast cancer. God speed, patriot, and keep the faith. I’ve lost many family and friends over the past three years. This life is Hell on Earth and we are all venturing to our creator to enjoy paradise with our loved ones. Have faith, all my prayers. Sending prayers of health and prosperity your way. God bless

it's sometimes nothing and even if it's something it is eminently curable as far as cancers go.

NotADocileLady 3 points ago +3 / -0

Breast cancer is getting better treatments every year. Its no longer a death sentence.

My MIL found a lump in April. Didn't tell us til Oct.

Doctors are complete assholes. Be prepared for that. The ER dr and nurses told her she had stage 4 terminal breast cancer and it was going to be impossible to fight. Then she sees an oncologist to ran all the tests and told her no, its stage 3, and completely isolated. She won't know anything until she gets blood work and a PET scan. Try blocking all of the negativity out until you get those results back. No amount of worrying changes it.

MIL just started treatment three days ago. She's hanging in there. Isn't getting as sick as it was put in her head. She's pretty funny on the meds they gave her too. Try to keep it light. Just a temporary inconvenience. This too shall pass. Do what you can to be there for her. She'll love you for just being there.

We'll pray for you and your family, Pede.

The conundrum of being a high level repairman, and not being able to fix a health issue hits me hard. I racked my brain trying to think of an actual answer that might help. I originally was going to just write: "Time to go to med school, bro." Now I'm wondering if something in that realm is your answer. You're probably the sort that finds answers and constantly learns. Maybe diving into that specific sort of cancer will alleviate worry, because you'll have a task to do that is in some way aimed at learning more about it. You may also find small things that others did to help things surrounding. Maybe even stumble on homeopathic remedies that will also help mostly in just a positive outlook and help to abandon the crippling worry.
