I’m still shocked by the current state of paranoia over the Wuflu.

Yes, it drives me crazy that people can't see through the bullshit and the hypocrisy. How are there people that didn't notice that Burn Loot Murder was exempt from Covid hysteria? How are there people who didn't notice the hypocrisy of the politicians not following their own restrictions? How are there people who don't notice the changing mandates like Fraudci flip-flopping on wearing masks? How do people not realize the bullshit rules about wearing a mask walking to the table, but not when sitting down, etc? You have to be a complete moron to not notice these things.

The last 2 decades have fetishized fear and terror. After 20 years of paranoia-laden zombie movies and books and TV and video games and fetishizing post-apocalyptic worlds and media where the good-guys' team can't decide where to go to lunch without infighting resulting in at least 2 casualties, the American public (and much of the world, honestly) don't know what to do if they're not quivering in utter terror at something.

Then they gave them something to be afraid of, and everyone took to it like a shot of heroin in the middle of withdrawl.

I was just in a cafe in Turkey. The young owner was so happy to see me (a random customer of the street). Started chatting. I asked him if the restrictions had affected his business and he said he laid off two employees and is making 10% of what he was making. I shook my head and said sorry to hear that, but he went off on an unprompted rant about how dangerous the virus is, how it could kill us (two young guys) and how he looked forward to taking the Chinese vaccine Turkey had ordered. I think he sensed my surprise and asked if I would take the Chinese vaccine. Obviously no point debating an NPC so I just said Ill wait for more data because I don't really trust the Chinese. He said its just a Chinese vaccine company no different from a French, American company etc and it had nothing to do with the Chinese government, and said if I dont take it others will be affected and die. Basically just regurgitating the irrational propaganda that was pumped into his weak mind. I wished him luck and left.

Let's start with the ones that wear them outside and in their car first.

I saw one walking their dog.... and their dog had a mask too. Driving couldn't get a picture. Safety first and all that jazz.

I really hope they're all wearing masks during the upcoming Civil War. Will make it easy to know who to shoot.

Yeah, the masks also make them look less like people and more like drones. I find myself getting mad at entire groups of people wearing masks.

Yeah, and now they know practically no one has the guts to even resist them in the slightest manner.

Masks are very gay

When used for everyday purposes, yes.

But I do double-time hiking for exercise, and I can tell you that a mask does a good job of keeping your face from freezing when you're walking into a bitter north wind.
