You take that back sir!

Unfortunately, Lincoln was on the wrong side in that war.

Dr0neRec0very 8 points ago +10 / -2

We have 30 days to stop the "Confederacy" from getting their slaves back and those slaves aren't going to be from Africa this time.

Hate to break it to you, but the Civil War was not about slavery. Lincoln said the south could keep their slaves. He merely wanted to preserve the Union. Try again.

9
Dr0neRec0very 9 points ago +14 / -5

Hate to break it to you, but I've read the declarations of EVERY state that attempted to leave the union and their grievances ALL included the abolition of slavery. Go read them yourself.

-5
Trump_in_2020_Pedes -5 points ago +3 / -8

You're missing the point. Completely. The North said they could keep their slaves. That wasn't an issue. At all. Try again.

-5
Trump_in_2020_Pedes -5 points ago +3 / -8

Here you go...a little history lesson for you, pede:

In August 1862, Lincoln stated: "If I could save the union without freeing any slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that."

-6
Trump_in_2020_Pedes -6 points ago +3 / -9

So, yeah. The Civil War was not about slavery. At all. But hey, at least you learned something today. :)

Right? Because why trust what the President of the United States said when he said "they can keep their slaves", right Junior?

4
Dr0neRec0very 4 points ago +8 / -4

Confederates were proto-democrats. If we don't stop it within 30 days, they're going to get their slaves back.

2
Trump_in_2020_Pedes 2 points ago +5 / -3

The parties never did, in fact, switch. The Dimocrats were the party of slavery. Not the Republicans.

This is how arrogant they are with the Twitter megaphone.

I fucking hate Twitter. It's cancer.

We're shown two films of the same events. Remember the Kenosha riots? I watched the MSM version, where Kyle Rittenhouse is basically a criminal on the run, and a version with more camera angles, more events being shown, and more context on what happened before and who were the aggressors, leading one to believe the situation wasn't the same as the MSM portrayed it. It's just beyond incredible. Fake news is the enemy of the people.

You should be used to sweep for landmines.

It's a crazy sign of our times that men with tits and dicks are considered marketable to some people. :X

1
operatorstorm712 1 point ago +1 / -0

Imho, that some are trying to market them to the general public -- there's always been the fetish fringe; I suppose for them that's their thing, but the general concensus is: wtf??? Don't try to market wtf??? as something normal; don't piss on my leg and try to convince me it's a light spring rain shower. That's really all I ask.

1
RahkeemTheMachine 1 point ago +2 / -1

Ok guy who thinks media outlets should be allowed to put out bullshit globally that deliberately weakens our country

1
operatorstorm712 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ok, my bad -- poor syntax on my part. Should have said "they"...or lead with "if you're a journalist". Many apologies for the miscommunication.

They (journalists who do this shit) should be used to sweep for landmines.

3
RahkeemTheMachine 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah I’m talking about the ones who deliberately mislead and lie

1

4
RahkeemTheMachine 4 points ago +5 / -1

So you’re ok with msm deliberately lying to American citizens for 4 years about the President being a russian asset because muh free press?

1
learntocode 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why are their such a small number of economically viable news outlets? We changed laws to allow corporate consolidation across mediums and geographic boundaries. Bias and bullshit are part and parcel of the media business, and of human communication in general. We all have the right to declare an elected leader a bad dude and call for whatever we like from others. It is the marketplace of information that has shifted, as it did in the last gilded age with yellow journalism.

Additionally, Americans are legally and financially prohibited from building communities that make local news economically viable. Local zoning laws and lending practices see to it we are too spread out and isolated to make a newspaper or radio station a profitable enterprise the way they used to be.

So, I support free speech and I want reforms to media consolidation, land use law, and lending practices.

2
Cozette 2 points ago +2 / -0

I hope you enjoy learning more about what's constitutional and what isnt, dear "dude" pede. Daddy Trump intends to inspire more people to wake up, research and learn around these issues. Imo Trumps constant linkage with Lincoln is intentional and allies like Flynn are helping us understand what the linkage is. When I began researching I was shocked by how mistaken I'd been around whats " constitutional". I'm guessing that in the coming days many are in for similar shocks. Forewarned is forearmed. Enjoy!!

There were some liberal morons yammering on about how "those GD'd Republicans tried to secede the last time, and we beat their asses"....dumb motherfuckers don't even realize what the party of Lincoln was or which side was which. And I know they teach that at most schools! (maybe some of the city ones don't, but they do every place else) -- so they can't claim ignorance!

But oh yeah, they're the "intelligent and educated" ones.

5
Ed_Ward 5 points ago +5 / -0

If you told them that then they would just respond with, "no that doesn't count because the parties switched, so now we get credit for EVERY good thing Republicans did and you get blamed for every bad thing Democrats did!" Then they'll usually say it happened right before FDR because they want to take credit for him, but not have Woodrow Wilson on thier side.

1
operatorstorm712 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's at that point that I usually lose it and reply: "I'm not talking to you; I'm telling you -- you dumb cocksucking motherfucker." (sometimes I try to leave the last part out, but I'm thinking it)

I really don't like poor grammar, but I hate bad history even worse. And that's really bad history.

2
Ed_Ward 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'd say it's more than bad history, it's intentionally wrong history.

1
operatorstorm712 1 point ago +1 / -0

Either way works; "dumb cocksucking motherfucker" still applicable, maybe even more so.

2
HillarysDoubleChin 2 points ago +2 / -0

How unbelievable it is that people in the public spotlight like this, these "checkmark" people have zero historical context. Lincoln imprisoned tons of journalists for criticizing the Union.

2
mass55th 2 points ago +2 / -0

General William T. Sherman hated the press with a passion. He banned them from his camp. When he found one lurking there, he was arrested, and the General told him that he'd better be on the next train leaving in the morning, or else. I found the following quote from a letter he wrote on February 17, 1863:

''I will illustrate why I regard newspaper correspondents as spies. A spy is one who furnishes an enemy with knowledge useful to him and dangerous to us. I say in giving intelligence to the enemy, in sowing discord & discontent in an army, these men fulfill all the conditions of spies. I am satisfied they have cost the country hundreds of millions of dollars & brought our country to the brink of ruin & that unless the nuisance is abated we are lost. While they cry about blood & slaughter they are the direct cause of more bloodshed than fifty times their number of armed Rebels.''

Nothing has changed in 157 years.

More evidence these people don't base anything on facts rather than their own stupid opinions. Lazy fuck couldn't do a quick search to literally prove his statement to be wrong meaning he made it without even knowing if what he said was right or not. And that's not even the crazy part, the people stupid enough to listen to him blindly trust what he's said and not bothered to fact check what he said. They're no better than sheep listening to the shepherd walk them off a cliff.

This needs to fucking happen ore then ANYTHING. Its the only possible way they are able to do what they do. Controlling the masses with media is there tool of choice and it needs to be stopped or this shit will never end. We are literally living in an alternate reality right now created by the vast majority of media outlets and tech giants colluding together to trick dumb people which somehow found themselves into power. or were likely put there. This isnt right. I really hope true leader emerge from this to show us all the way

1
Burmeister 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thomas Jefferson:

"To your request of my opinion of the manner in which a newspaper should be conducted, so as to be most useful, I should answer, "by restraining it to true facts & sound principles only." Yet I fear such a paper would find few subscribers. It is a melancholy truth, that a suppression of the press could not more compleatly deprive the nation of it's benefits, than is done by it's abandoned prostitution to falsehood. Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knolege with the lies of the day"

Lincoln did some wicked shit they don't teach you about in school. Like suspending habius corpus and imprisoning all of his political opponents. This is why Lincoln was Obama's favorite president. Shitting all over the bill of rights and the constitution was something Obama wished he could have done more of as well.
