I found it so interesting how it- surprisingly- wasn’t this sweeping montage about his career, instead it dipped into this whole sob story about his life and the “tragedy” in it. It just struck me as so bizarre. Just this weird attempt at garnering empathy like “he’s been through stuff ok guys” but really having nothing to do whatsoever with making a change in politics.
It was just, so...odd and weird like that’s all they had to work with.
