In Harrison Bergeron, they all had to wear headphones with constant noise, so no one had time to think. That is social media.

Except only the smart people had to wear those in the story. With social media, intelligence isn't required to participate, in fact it's RACIST REEEEEeeeee!!!

I wish all teenagers had to read that short story. And then had to read "Atlas Shrugged. We might be in a different place if we were still literate.

Yeah so true. Believe it or not I was assigned Harrison Bergeron in middle school, probably around age 12. That was in California in the 90s. Amazing how far this place has fallen.
