I think it’s a case of him having to “play the game” so to speak. If he came out and instantly said Fauci is deepstate scum and the vaccines will be dangerous, the average person would lose their shit. We here are based redpilled and understand these things, but to the normies it would sound completely crazy. The redpilling needs to be a slow gradual process unfortunately

Trump is also of a generation where “the experts” have a great amount of credibility. He wanted to make sure that he didn’t overlook life-saving information. When he was younger, and forming his views on healthcare, the equivalent of Fauci, would have been someone who actually cared about public health. Social trust has been totally trashed for younger people. I can’t imagine being a teenager, and coming into your own in this era, where a majority of officials end up being proven liars.

We saw through Fauci pretty quickly just by looking at his background, his donation history and listening to the garbage he spoke.

I think Trump must have been looking to give him enough rope to discredit himself but it's a very powerful and influential media he's up against
