Without family visits the quality of care declines rapidly in a lot of homes. Sad truth.

After being in the hospital all week I can tell you that there is no excuse for this abuse at all. The elderly folks hospitalized are scared and alone and confused. It’s awful. It’s lonely. And it broke my heart to hear it each day, then asking for their children or their husband or wife, all alone and hurting. I want to see people hang over this. The worst crime in our human history.

Send in our troops. Yes, my solution for everything right now is to utilize our military to stop all of these unlawful violations of our rights, since many state leaders are corrupted and no one is holding them accountable.

Look at stretchen' Gretchen Whitmer - state supreme court declares her actions unconstitutional, and she is still writing her Goddamn executive orders left and right and destroying lives

Tell me this isn't a manufactured coronavirus. The flu is deadly to compromised, elderly AND kids. This covid1984 doesn't affect kids at all. This is a targeted attack on our elderly to scare the rest of us into submission. I'm so sorry about your grandma. Hopefully she enjoys your visit anyway.

Dementia is awful too. It would be nice if you could sit next to her and hold her hand. Maybe help her memory. I'm so sick for you and every family like yours right now. My grandma was in the hospital and caught MRSA (this was years ago now). MRSA is super dangerous, to everyone. We all were given protective stuff (gowns, gloves) and were let right in. What the government is doing is criminal. I look forward to retaliation. I'm just trying to get past Jan 20th to rally for the next steps.

Ohhhhhhh that's good. "Covid1984" I haven't heard that one yet. I need that on a mask ASAP.

It's not my original and I totally love it too!

"covid" is a psyop. "Coronavirus" is supposedly a family of RNA viruses that cause "common cold" aka "SARS" ("severe" added fairly recently to make it sound scary to the dimwits). Shit may not be even a virus but a response of the immune system to certain shit that blooms when it gets cold. One way or the other, it's a very convenient way to scare the NPCs into obedience.

I work with a woman that removed both of her 90 year old parents from a nursing home at the beginning of the outbreak and they live with her at her home. She has children and takes care of these bed-ridden parents. She's exhausted all the time but she probably saved their lives. Had they lived in New York, the dumbass Cuomo administration shuttled elderly covid patients to nursing homes where they spread the sickness.

How did you try to explain it to her? It's the toughest time for the caregiver, true, however it is also a tremendous privilege for you to take care of someone who is nearing end of life.

  • "Grandma, I don't want strangers taking care of you."
  • "You belong with family."
  • "You are at risk of covid infection/death."
  • "If you live with us, we will be able to pass on your values to our descendants much better. That way we have a better chance of your grandchildren and great grandchildren having some sense in this world."

I could go on forever.

My Mom took care of my Grandmother, Grandmother's younger brother, and Grandmother's older sister all at different times. I didn't do as much as Mom did, but I did change diapers, cook, take on walks, etc. The greatest part was introducing my children to them.

Talk to her about home care... we did that for my MIL who also didn’t want to be a burden and it worked out wonderfully! The home caregiver did the hard stuff, and we just enjoyed time with her. It cost less than the expensive homes... It made my MIL’s last few months peaceful, she was with family, excellent care and took the stress off of us.

Also, this woman (who was from Jamaica) was an amazing cook - she cooked for the whole family even though that was not officially part of her responsibility.

Prayers for your grandmother. We lost my wife's Mom in a nursing home last year. Good place, thankfully. I tell my family, when your 85, 90, 100, honestly the majority of them, if not all, would rather chance dying of covid than not see their family for 9 months. It matters that much. There's nothing like the human touch of those that love you when you are elderly.

Pray for her she lives in a CCP controlled country now.

2
arkylady 2 points ago +2 / -0

Are they holding her there against the will of her family? Cuz I don't understand why anyone would leave their family member in a situation like this. It's heartbreaking.

Edit: I read comment where you said you talked to her about it. My mom had a hard time letting me help her also, but I live with her now and take care of her and it's going really well so far (she's 86). Hopefully you can get her to agree to come live with you! I just can't stand seeing this happening to the elderly, it's criminal how they are treating people.

I saw a video from the UK of a lady who went to visit her mom at the nursing home thru the window. She commented to the nurse about her mom's lips looked blue and wanted her to be checked. They were rude about it and the lady got upset so they shut the blinds and took her mom away. It was just awful.

The people perpetuating this Covid fraud on us are absolutely evil and have zero empathy for human life.

2
Red_Shifts_Matter 2 points ago +2 / -0

A nursing home is a paid living arrangement. Make those fucks let you in or make those fucks let her out. It's an apartment with nurse's aids, not a prison. This isn't a hostage negotiation. Either they let you see granny or you threaten a lawsuit...or simply find her a better residence.

2
Lurking-My-Life-Away 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sounds like retirement homes have turned into death camps.

2
Drinkup4 2 points ago +2 / -0

The cure is worse than the disease. There is a decent chance someone your grandma's age would survive COVID. There is 100% chance your grandma won't get back the last 9 months. This is elder abuse.

pepperconchobhar 2 points ago +2 / -0

My friend and her sister got a lawyer and had their dad pulled from his nursing home. It took about three damn months to get it done.

The guy came home with bedsores, skinnier than he's ever been in his life, immobile, and fading. Under her sister's care, he's already put on more than 15 pounds, the sores are healed, and he's able to walk again. It's been about six weeks.

He's happy, but he keeps breaking down bawling when he thinks of the hell he was putting up with all those months. He was a big, proud man. To see him reduced to this has my friend foaming with rage.

We should all say a prayer for the millions living through this nightmare. My heart goes out to you all! We gotta be the resistance. Starting now. No masks. Remove the veil over everyone’s eyes.

2
Enihilismdotwin 2 points ago +2 / -0

Covid was designed to target these people. Its a sinister plan for insurance companies and already overstretched pensions. It leaves the payers and only kills the eaters. If you let the dirty corporations have a wish list covid checks almost every box. Whats most sinister are the cases where it was promoted to do just that. New York nursing homes are the best example. I feel bad for you and your loved one but prayer is all i can offer the problem.

For the amount of money people often pay for facility care, a loved one can come home and have family and nurse's aides care for them.

I've facilitated this dozens of times as a nurse.

There may be a staff person in the facility who can help you with this.

This is one of those stories that, if the roles were reversed, my reaction wouldn't be to prolong my senior survival.

I rather die in the hands of my loved ones, than to sit idle and alone for years without ever a guarantee to hug them once more.

My great grandfather died from sugar intake that he wasn't supposed to, but he broke out of his living situation to enjoy my grandmother's cookies. And outran the help trying to secure him. That's a legacy that will live on in me.

2
guest13 2 points ago +2 / -0

get her out then. id fucking storm the place

I'm so sorry. I do not know about these assisted living facilities. Are relatives allowed to get their elderly relatives out permanently ? That may be the only choice you have.

Serious question: WHO HAS THE RIGHT TO DENY YOU A VISIT TO YOUR GRANDMA?

What, is she in prison or something?

2
Barthaneous 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's time to bring the guns to these places. Demand your family members or expect us to rush in. And if that's not gonna fly then don't pay a cent.

And for the most part most of you should be taking care of your family members yourself.

Anyone told me I couldn't see my loved one is walking the road of death.

Glad to hear it. These care homes could barely be trusted before, now it is like they are actively trying to kill these people with isolation.
