Yeah they filed. SC really cannot grant their request to grant statehood though. That’s a legislative power not judicial. Guess they could secede and then request to be annexed by the Union though.

Seems implausible but it’s the only route I can see. SC simply doesn’t have the constitutional authority to create states and no way in hell the Dems would agree to splitting states in such a manner that would both diminish their electoral votes AND give them to Republicans.
