If the state legislature can't appoint their own electors or do anything to change the winner of WI then why even bother having this hearing? They all seem convinced they can't do anything (which I don't think is true)
First its to get t he fraud evidence out to the general population because the media isn’t covering it and otherwise they are going to be soooo surprised because all they hear from CNN is Debonked. And also REEEEE!
The second reason is because every state legislature is watching this. If Texas prevails and it goes back to the states, the Republicans have to have something to refer to when they say they are going for Trump because the courts are using dubious reasons to prevent evidence from ever being heard.
That is because the SC is an appellate court. No new evidence.(unless a state sues a state) This is the only way for this to to be in the general public arena so the Republicans don’t get roasted by their Liberal constituents for rectifying the fraud.
It also show the SC that the states care and are harmed.
Other State legislators met to solely shape future policy. This one in WI is actually better. Plus, they gave individual speakers time to say their piece.
The individual legislators are instructed that they can't do anything, but I saw at least one here stand up and say you can't just look at future elections, this one from November has to be dealt with.
So refreshing! See the letter I sent to all of them, in this post.
